Unnur Freyja Víðisdóttir

Head travel planner

Being born and raised in Iceland, the love for all things travel-, adventure- and outdoor-related, is in Unnur’s blood.

With 6 years work experience in the tourism industry, both as a tour guide out in the field and as a travel agent, you can be sure that Unnur will give her all into creating the perfect travel plan for you and/or your group.

Along with her work Unnur has attained a B.A. degree in Media Studies from the University of Akureyri and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Crisis Management at Bifröst University.

Unnur is truly an ambitious and hardworking young woman and one does not have to search far to see where she gets it from. Her father is a highly experienced member of FBSR, one of the Icelandic Search and Rescue teams, and her mother is a nurse with years experience working in the ER of Landspítali, the leading hospital in Iceland, both of whom inspired Unnur to study crisis management.

Alli Möller

Head Tour Guide & Professional Photographer

I have worked as a photographer and movie maker since 1994. But from the year 2008, I have worked in the tourist industry along with making movies.

I have worked as a full-time tour guide since 2013 which I consider to be the most enjoyable job in the whole world. I am looking forward to showing you my country and to photograph you in our beautiful nature.

My passion is to travel and I have visited more than 70 countries in all continents of the world except for Antarctica

Sigurður Hrafn Stefnisson

In 2007 I started working as a full time tour guide mostly specializing in photo tours and 4×4 tours. My speciality is photography and geology ( especially volcano’s ), I am also knowledgeable about birds, history and the northern lights.

EXPERIENCE
2007 – present Guide, Photographer and Super jeep driver.
1986 – 2007 Running a film developing centre and photographing.
Among those who have used my photos are National Geographic, BBC, NASA, GEO, Stern, Landscape photography magazine and many more. In 2001 one of my photos was chosen as one of the 100 best ever published by the National Geographic.

GUIDING PHILOSOPHY
Guiding is the perfect job for me as I love traveling. Since I got my first 4×4 in 1984 I have been travelling and hiking all over Iceland.

Halldór Kolbeins

Professional photographer

I have been working as a professional photographer in Iceland for well over two decades, where I have traveled intensively to each and every corner to capture Iceland´s breath-taking landscapes. My admiration for the ever-changing nature came as a natural thing since I grew up in northern and west Iceland, where the sunsets were intense and the northern lights totally unspoiled from the city lights. So for me, photography and travel came as a natural call.
Already in 2002, I took the necessary licenses in order to work with my then colleague Ingolfur, driving tourists and journalist around the island in Land Rovers. Over the years it has added up to a large list of media as well as leisure travelers that I have had a great pleasure to introduce to my home country, including major media names like National Geographic.

I won`t sugar coat it, but these are my most high end and hard to please clients and this was the first trip where they loved everything and had no complaints. Exclusive Travel Iceland anticipated everything they may need – from extra blankets and hats, to champagne, birthday cake and even the kids making gingerbread cookies. The grandfather was in a wheelchair and they had made sure everywhere he was taken was handicap accessible. In the villa, they had pre measured the doors for his chair and the days he couldn`t travel with the family for an outing, they took care of him and had someone sit with him during the day. The weather in Iceland is ever-changing and they had a Plan B, C, and D already in place just in case Plan A was canceled.

New Years extravaganza!

When our Christmas French ski trip was cancelled at the last minute we turned to Kristin and Exclusive Travel Iceland to save the day! With about a weeks notice she organised the most incredible adventure for my husband and I and our three boys. Our guide, the hotels, the trips (especially snowmobiling) were all just brilliant. The New Year’s Eve fireworks in Reykjavik ended our trip in crazy Icelandic fashion.

Best trip of my LIFE!!!

Me and my husband booked a 7 nights trip in Iceland at the end of September. I am so glad we booked along with exclusive travel. They booked the hotels for us along with the guided tours and activities. Through out the booking process, we communicated with Kristin via email who made everything very easy and swift. She also helped us navigate the border requirements for COVID-19 precautions.

Upon arrival, we were picked up from the airport by our private tour guide Siggi. Through out the trip, he drove us around to all the locations (in the latest defender car to boot!). Siggi was not only very knowledgeable in Icelandic history and geography, he was also happy to answer all our questions (even the silly ones). He was very efficient in navigating our trip (even when weather conditions were not always on our side). He also took amazing photos of our trip that I’ll attach below!!

Thorsmork like you will never see on your own!

We had an amazing 9 hour trip to Thorsmork with Heymir who took us in a huge 4*4 vehicle. We crossed rivers got close to the glacier, hiked up to a waterfall and did a 4 hour hike in the park with stunning views. This was one of the highlights of our trip in Iceland. Heymir was both nice professional and knowladjable. An unbelievable experince for all of us. Because of the price and large size of the car we recommend this trip for groups of 8-9 people.

I had the most incredible time in Iceland with Exclusive Travel Tours! They were so professional and communicative before our adventure. They knew exactly where to guide us, and took us to the places that were the most beautiful with the least tourists. Alli our tourguide who turns out to be the best guide and finally a friend, picked us up at the airport the moment we arrived and the trip was bliss from there on. He is expert in finding northern lights, so rest assured if you came to find one, he will do anything to get them for you. The Best Iceland Tour You’ll Ever Have

We were so glad to make this trip before the global lock down. We were in this tour from Feb 23 – Mar 1, 2020 and it was truly a fantastic experience. Our tour guide, Ali Moller, was just terrific. Can you imagine having a very knowledgeable local guide and a professional photographer all-in-one? We felt we hit a jackpot. Being able to see the wonders of Iceland, specially the glacier ice caves, and a having a professional photographer capture the moment with you, what more can you ask?
